Good news, in an update on this story. “American captain rescued, pirates killed, U.S. official says,” from CNN, April 12:via JW:

(CNN) — The captain of the Maersk Alabama was freed Sunday after being held captive since Wednesday by pirates off the coast of Somalia, a senior U.S. official with knowledge of the situation told CNN.

The official said Capt. Richard Phillips is uninjured and in good condition, and that three of the four pirates were killed. The fourth pirate is in custody. Phillips was taken aboard the USS Bainbridge, a nearby naval warship. (Yeah! But why take prisoners?/ed)

*  Pamela: Have you been watching the press conferences at all. The terror loving media cannot contain itself concerned with the pirates ……. sick. Pathelogically morally ill.

At least Hillary Clitman thinks so, she found it hilarious that US ships are being attacked by Somali pirates… Catie Couric from CBS eagerly explained that Somali young men resort to piracy for “lack of other economic opportunities” and the current US administration is “still defining its rationale for undertaking sensitive operations in countries where the United States is not at war.” (Quick, call the UN security council, they can write a sternly worded letter to the pirates/ed)

Last night, on MSNBC, the FBI explicitly made the point of saying “we are dealing with young criminals, not radical Islam terrorists”

So someone(s) put out the official word to not use that terrible slur, radical Islam, nor that fear word, terrorists, when referring to Somalian piracy.

Pamela has a good take on this here… a retired general just told Fox News that “the Somali pirates are just criminals and have “nothing to do with Islamic terrorists”-  the media has banned any tie between the jihadis and piracy.

The FBI and intelligence officials have said that at least 20 young Somali American men have left this country for Somalia in recent years to train and fight with al-Shabab against the Somali government and occupying Ethiopian military forces. In February, a naturalized American — 27-year-old Shirwa Ahmed of Minneapolis — killed himself and many others in a suicide bombing in Somalia.

Yusuf fears a ‘backlash’!

In his latest blog entry  sharia advocate Yusuf Irfan fantasizes about the “Far Right”, blames  ‘prejudicial rhetoric used against certain minority groups’  (Islam & Muslims of course, nothing else matters)  whines about ‘uncontrolled and unmedicated hate’…   Same old, same old…

Yusuf has no problem with Islamic hate-mongers like this, like this  and this, but whines about Tim Blair, who does very little of that sort. 

When all fails, Yusuf wants you to believe Moslems are just like da Jooozz..

…and when nobody listens, (when did  the last poster  comment on your blog, Yusuf?) he tells us he is just like Gandhi:

Usually, there are institutions that take care of such people. Yusuf is still running around without a straight jacket.

Apart from that, Yusuf has no problem with the demand for exclusive Muslim prayer rooms at Muslim Students at RMIT, who have indicated precisely that nothing else will do.

Europe and the rest of the West need to curb their racism or xenophobia to the levels practiced in the glorious Middle East.

That would show them.
