It’s been a bad week for New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian whose support has plummeted after revealing that behind her good girl mask she’s just another Nurse Ratched keeping us imprisoned in the lunatic asylum that is Australia in 2021. The Delta virus is ten times less deadly than the flu to Australians under 65, even unvaccinated, but who cares when the majority of Australians imagine that there is a 38 per cent chance they will die if they catch Covid. The fear factor is crucial. Who would line up for a potentially dangerous experimental vaccine of dubious efficacy if it weren’t presented as the only way out of the cuckoo’s nest in which we are held indefinitely at the government’s pleasure.

But it’s been a great week for Big Vax. The news from Israel that the Pfizer vaccine is only 64 per cent effective might be disappointing if you are a fully vaccinated Israeli hoping you can forget about catching Covid, but it’s a great shot in the arm for Pfizer. The declining efficacy of the jab has prompted talk around the world of a third dose.
Immunologists had predicted that the immunity conferred by the new mRNA vaccines might not last long because they don’t generate T helper cells crucial in the formation of longterm immunity. As early as February, when Pfizer was crowing about vaccine efficacy of 95 per cent, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla was studying boosters. After all, there’s no revenue stream in a one-shot vaccine that protects you for a lifetime.

At the same time, Dr Peter Doshi, an editor of the British Medical Journal, was raising the alarm concerning the data provided by Pfizer about their trial. Pfizer calculated its vaccine efficacy based on only 170 PCR-confirmed cases of Covid excluding 3,410 cases of suspected, but unconfirmed Covid-19. If these suspected cases were all Covid it would give the vaccine an efficacy of only 19 per cent. Yet the inability of Pfizer to be able to confirm in its trial whether participants did or didn’t catch Covid didn’t bother the regulators in the US, Australia or anywhere else. It was granted emergency use authorisation.

Radicalized Man Makes Death Threats at Basilica Where Migrant Terrorist Killed Three

Any idea what “radicalised” him?

Police arrested a 27-year-old man on a terrorism watchlist after he made death threats at the Basilica of Notre-Dame in Nice, the site of a terrorist attack in October.

The 27-year-old is said to have entered the basilica on Saturday and attempted to steal a church donations box but was confronted by a staff member and several parishioners who stopped him.

The man was then said to have made death threats towards the people in the basilica, saying, according to Actu 17: “I’m going to come back, and I’m going to kill you all.”

After staff activated an emergency call button, police arrived and arrested the 27-year-old, who is said to have been intoxicated at the time.

What did the experts and studies say about the use of Ivermectin to treat Covid-19?

The Indian Bar Association (IBA) has filed a lawsuit against Dr Soumya Swaminathan, the Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization (WHO), for allegedly distributing false information on the use of Ivermectin to treat Covid-19.

The IBA on 25 May served Swaminathan with a court notice, alleging that she was “spreading disinformation and misguiding the people of India in order to fulfil her agenda,” and that she was “causing further damage”.

The association claimed that the WHO expert overlooked research and clinical studies from two organisations—the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care (FLCCC) Alliance and the British Ivermectin Recommendation Development (BIRD).

These two organisations have reportedly presented substantial data demonstrating that Ivermectin prevents and treats Covid-19.

Indonesia to use Ivermectin to treat Covid

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said there is nothing wrong with trying to use Ivermectin as a therapeutic drug for Covid-19. Luhut said he had asked SOE Minister Erick Thohir to distribute Ivermectin for Covid-19 patients with mild symptoms.

Al Gore is coming to visit Australia, 15 years after flying here to promote his film An Inconvenient Truth. Will he now say sorry for all his porkies? I once got the chance at a conference to question Gore about some of his fake claims in a movie shown by activist teachers to terrify a generation of schoolchildren. He went red and started yelling. Now he won’t be interviewed by sceptics, but I hope a real journalist can sneak past his guard when he comes in November to tell an engineering conference “the opportunities and challenges posed by climate change”.

So here are some questions to ask Gore about a film that won him an Academy Award and a Nobel prize.

Al, where’s the warming? The latest satellite data from the University of Alabama at Huntsville shows the world’s temperature last month was about the temperature when your film first screened.

Al, where are your drowning islands? You claimed the seas had already risen so high that “citizens of these Pacific nations had all had to evacuate to New Zealand”. What citizens? The biggest study of those islands show nearly half have not changed in size, and another 43 per cent had actually grown.

Al, where’s the melting Antarctic? You told us to “watch out” for it, but sea ice there is now above the long-term average, and NASA says from “1979 to 2014, total Antarctic sea ice increased by about 1 per cent per decade”.

Al, what’s with all the polar bears? You said they were being drowned as sea ice melted, but even the International Union for Conservation of Nature, which said there were 25,000 bears at most the year before your film, says there are now more – 26,000.

Al, why is the snow still there? You said “within the decade there will be no more snows of Kilimanjaro”, but there is.

Al, where are all those monster hurricanes? You said we were now getting “a lot of big hurricanes”, but the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says it is still “premature to conclude with high confidence” that our emission have “had a detectable impact” on hurricane activity.

The “Abolishing Prisons and the Police” class being offered at Bard College will teach students how to “‘sell'” abolition to the masses and design a multi-media ad campaign to make prison abolition go viral,” according to a course description. The course was first reported by Campus Reform, which covers liberal biases on college campuses.

The Wuhan flu virus has exposed what many have long thought – our elected leaders at the state and federal level are incompetent. The national cabinet which replaced the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) in March last year has been as burdened with backbiting jealousy and petty rivalries as the most parochial local council.

Meant to have the same status as the War Cabinet which met during the Second World War, it has dismally failed to rise to anything near the same level of authority let alone competence.

Queenslanders are just picking up the pieces after another foolish lockdown, families separated from each other are coming to terms with the halving of international arrival caps, and the Queensland Premier is finalising her plans to travel overseas. This is an absolute betrayal of those she is supposed to lead.
