Amnesty International’s annual report for 2008 criticises Denmark on several issues.

The maggots who run the long discredited, Muslim infested ‘Yuman Rites’ charade called ‘Amnesty International’ once again find it much easier to attack  a civilized Western nation like Denmark,  whose Human Rights record is exemplary. Is anybody still wondering why these pathetic wankers don’t focus on failed Islamic or totalitarian nations where human rights are virtually non-existent?  How did Amnesia become so perverted?  What motivates Amnesia to help destroy the nations silly enough to play along with their subversive activities which amounts to aiding and abetting Islamic terrorists and infiltration?

(ANSAmed) — ROME, MAY 25 — Italy’s new immigration policy of returning to Libya migrants rescued or intercepted at sea is an effective deterrent to illegal migration in the Mediterranean, Interior Minister Roberto Maroni told the Senate on Monday. Under the controversial initiative, which sees a key part of a landmark accord with Libya implemented for the first time, migrants are rescued in international waters and taken back to Libya where humanitarian organisations can vet their asylum claims. Providing figures on the so-called ‘push-back’ policy, Maroni said 471 migrants had been sent back to Libya from May 6 to 10, after the launch of the policy. The initiative has been contested by the centre-left opposition, the Catholic Church, humanitarian organisations and the United Nations. Boat migrations in the Mediterranean “have pratically come to halt,” Maroni said. The minister said Italy would persist with the initiative “without wavering” because “it is saving many lives at sea and is producing a drastic decline in arrivals” on its southern shores. Maroni also rebutted criticism, arguing that the initiative is “in line with existing legislation”. However, the UN refugee agency UNHCR says the initiative undermines access to asylum in the European Union and carries with it the risk of violating the fundamental principles enshrined in the 1951 (Geneva) Convention on refugees and other instruments of international human rights law. Non-refoulement is a principle in international law, specifically refugee law, that concerns the protection of refugees from being taken back to countries where their lives or freedom could be threatened. What settlement freeze commitment?

Everyone assumes that Israel is committed to freezing settlement activity without preconditions. Not so. Here’s why.

The Roadmap demanded that Israel “immediately dismantle settlement outposts erected since March 2001″ and provided that “Consistent with the Mitchell Report, GOI freeze all settlement activity (including natural growth of settlements)”.

The Mitchell Report was prepared in response to the terror unleashed by Arafat, after he turned down Barak’s genererous offer at Camp David. It’s goal was to make recommendations to end the violence.

It is important to understand the context and the wording of the Mitchell Report because the settlement freeze demanded by the Roadmap had to be consistent with it.

ANKARA: Britain reaffirmed its support for Turkey’s bid to join the EU, despite opposition from leaders in France and Germany who say the Muslim country is too poor and too culturally different to fit into the bloc. 

Foreign Secretary David Miliband told Reuters, Ankara’s full European Union membership would bring economic dynamism into the bloc, help solve its energy security problems and build closer ties between the West and the Muslim world. “Britain is more convinced than it has ever been that the strategic decision to support Turkey’s accession to the European Union is the right one,” Miliband said late on Tuesday. “It is good for Europe as well as for Turkey.”

When people look up the word “hypocrisy” in the Islamist dictionary they will see the Muslim American Society (MAS) and its Freedom Foundation (FF) Executive Director Mahdi Bray side by side with those responsible for The American Muslim publication. This is because the groups and their leaders say they’re against terrorism and extremism, while they go about promoting these things. Could it be that they actually believe that Hamas is anything but a terrorist group or that extremists are anything but extremists?

Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamia (HAMAS), the Islamic Resistance Movement, began in 1987 as an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood of Palestine a.k.a. the Islamic Society or Islamic Association. Since it was established, Hamas has been responsible for hundreds of Israeli deaths, many via such horrific means as suicide bombings.

Amongst Hamas’s founders, the most notable was Ahmed Yassin, a wheelchair bound individual who was executed by the Israelis in March 2004. During the five year anniversary of the assassination, March 2009, Yassin’s likeness was placed on MAS’s Freedom Foundation website by Khalilah Sabra, the Director of FF’s North Carolina chapter. Today, the pic is found on FF’s National Executive Director’s page, under the title ‘Mahdi Bray’s Photos.’

National Geographic blames Israel for Christianity’s Decline in Middle East

In its June 2009 issue, National Geographic demonstrated just how far it is willing to go to scapegoat Israel for suffering in the Middle East. The magazine also showed how far it is willing to go to downplay the role Islam played in contributing to Christianity’s decline in the region. In an article written by Don Belt, the magazine’s senior editor for foreign affairs, National Geographic portrays the departure of Christians from the Holy Land as largely a consequence of Israeli (and American) policies in the region. The article offers no honest description of the well-documented mistreatment of Christians at the hands of Muslim majority populations in the Middle East.

The Crusades

Belt’s efforts to whitewash the role Islamic conquest played in the decline of Christianity in the Middle East becomes obvious in the third paragraph of the article which states that “it was during the Crusades (1095-1291) that Arab Christians, slaughtered along with Muslims by the crusaders and caught in the cross fire between Islam and the Christian West, began a long, steady retreat into the minority.”

In reality, Arab Christianity began its “long, steady retreat” into minority status hundreds of years before the European crusaders ever set foot in the Holy Land. As Bat Ye’or and other commentators have documented, the process of forced conversion and subjugation of Christians in the Middle East began soon after the death of Mohammed in 632. Ye’or writes that after unifying the Arabian Peninsula under Muslim rule, Abu Bakr, Mohammed’s successor, brought war to non-Muslims, including Christians, outside Arabia. In her book The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam: From Jihad to Dhimmitude (Farleigh Dickinson Press, 1996) Ye’or writes:

Arab idolaters had to choose between death or conversion; as for Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians, if they paid tribute and accepted the conditions of conquest, they could buy back their right to live, freedom of worship and security of property.
 
In 640 the second caliph, Umar Ibn al-Khattab, drove the Jewish and Christian tributaries out of Hijasz by invoking the dhimma (contract) of Khaybar: the land belonged to Allah and his Envoy and the contract could be broken at the discretion of the imam, the religious and political leader of the umma [Muslim religious community] and the interpreter of Allah’s will. Umar also invoked the desire expressed by the Prophet on his deathbed: “Two religions should not co-exist within the Arabian peninsula.” (Page 39)

While Ye’or is careful to explain that the subjugation of peoples and faiths was part and parcel of life in the Middle East at the time and that offering conquered peoples a chance to convert to Islam “curbed the barbarity of war,” she also makes clear that Christianity declined under Muslim conquest in the region conducted under the rubric of jihad, or holy war against non-Muslims.

Abbas to meet with Obama today, demands that Netanyahu accept Palestinian state
