Don’t judge this too harshly. After all, don’t we hear about shootouts in churches all the time, over who has to clean up after the potluck supper, or who gets to be head of the parish council? Opponents of the law see gaping constitutional problems with it. A lawsuit was filed Thursday in Oklahoma City federal court challenging the legality of the measure. Click here for the complaint, filed by the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR); here for the news release on CAIR’s plans.

The plaintiff, CAIR executive director Muneer Awad, said the law violates the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, adding that it targets a particular religion. “Disfavoring Islam, or any religion, is a violation of the First Amendment,” Awad said. “Second, it renders all international treaties invalid in our courts.” (Wall Street Journal)

In wake of Oklahoma anti-Sharia vote, Muslims having a hard time getting their story straight

Asma Uddin argues here that the idea of Sharia coming to Oklahoma is absurd on its face, and so no anti-Sharia law is needed. But if that is true, then why is Hamas-linked CAIR bothering to go to the trouble and expense of suing to block the law? After all, a law against a non-existent threat may be silly, but if there is no need for the law in the first place, there is no need to sue to overturn it.

Also, note that Uddin speaks as if Oklahoma had outlawed Sharia as a matter of voluntary private arbitration. That is actually off the point, since the use of Sharia provisions in private arbitration doesn’t constitute the use of a law other than American law to legislate for Americans, which is what the Oklahoma anti-Sharia measure is all about.

In my New York Times interview here, I repeated what I have said and thought for some time, that the first country that will be Islamic in Europe will be the U.K.

This terrible story just validates my prediction. An Islamic supremacist with fundamentalist links will most likely be elected Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlet council, with control of over a billion dollar budget.

Mind you, he was previously fired for extremist ties. But the Islamic machine went into overdrive and fraudulently gamed the system (shocka!).

Tower Hamlets moved from a conventional leader system to a mayoralty this year as a result of a campaign spearheaded by the Muslim extremist group the IFE. IFE’s Abu Talha told an undercover reporter for The Sunday Telegraph and Channel 4’s Dispatches: “The mayor is going to have a lot more control. That’s why we need to get someone, one of our brothers, in there. Which we will do.”

The law says that if 5 per cent of the electorate petition a council, it must hold a referendum on changing to a mayoral system.

Earlier this year another prominent IFE activist, Abjol Miah, organised such a petition.

Next time they will be smarter. They simply won’t use Muslim names…..

Council officers found that almost half were “invalid”, with entire pages of names and addresses written in the same handwriting and around 5,000 not even appearing on the electoral register.

Read on. And bear in mind that according to the media and the political elites, the EDL is the problem. The campaign of destruction against the EDL (made up of Jews, Christians, Blacks, Hindus, Sikhs, et al) fighting Islamic supremacism and imperialism would be laughable if it weren’t so tragic.

And who is the loser here?

The Netherlands is also noted as one of Indonesia’s largest sources of aid for education, governance, water management and other areas.

However, none of that changes the fact that most Indonesians would like nothing more than to immolate gay-loving, prostitute riddled, drug smoking Holland with a few, if not many, nuclear weapons.

Blithely and admantly ignorant of this, The Netherlands continues funding and doing business with this Muslim hive. If ever there was a case of “feeding the crocodile”.

UPDATE 12.35pm: A PLAN to force families to cover up to avoid offending Muslims at a public event has triggered furious debate.

Muslim women have been banned from wearing the body-concealing swimming costume known as a burqini in the northern Italian town of Varallo Sesia (Telegraph UK)

The anti-immigration mayor (?) of the northern Piedmont town said: “The sight of a ‘masked woman’ could disturb small children, not to mention problems of hygiene.  “We don’t have to be tolerant all the time,” Gianluca Buonanno said.

So far the Premier John Brumby has refused to weigh into the debate about the event, saying he will wait to see the VCAT ruling before making any comment.

VCAT has approved a ban on uncovered shoulders and thighs for a community event to be held at the Dandenong Oasis, a municipal pool.

“Participants aged 10 and over must ensure their bodies are covered from waist to knee and the entire torso extending to the upper arms,” a request by Dandenong City Council and the YMCA states in an exemption application to the Equal Opportunities Act.

“Participants must not wear transparent clothing.”

This issue has also sparked a huge community debate, with well over 700 people commenting on heraldsun.com.au this morning.
