Just asking, but are beheadings common in western New York? I used to spend a lot of time in that neck of the woods and I don’t remember decapitation as a routine form of murder. Yet the killing of Aasiya Hassan seems to have elicited a very muted response.

When poor Mrs Hassan’s husband launched his TV network to counter negative stereotypes of Muslims, he had no difficulty generating column inches, as far afield asThe Columbus Dispatch, The Detroit Free Press, The San Jose Mercury News, Variety, NBC News, the Voice of America and the Canadian Press. The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle put the couple on the front page under the headline “Infant TV Network Unveils The Face Of Muslim News”.

* The Puff Ho, -always on the wrong side of the tracks- worries about  whether the Muslim  propaganda TV channel BridgesTV mission  will continue…

* Pakistan Dawn, the Nation, the Daily Times … Pakistan’s media seems less timid about covering a New York state beheading than does media in the US. Meanwhile, a gem of understatement from Croatia:

What could possibly be wrong with distributing anti-Semitic leaflets and incitement against Jews? Poor fella! He was just doing his Islamic duty!

Police swoop to make arrests on the M65, near Preston, Lancs

Three men arrested by counter-terrorism police on a motorway were allegedly planning to leave Britain as part of a £1million aid convoy to Gaza, which was organised by former Labour MP George Galloway.

Security sources say the men aged 26, 29 and 36 from Burnley, Lancashire, had been under surveillance for two months in an operation connected to a potential threat of terrorism in the Middle East.

Plans to build a mosque in the Swan Valley have upset Nyoongar elders who claim the Caversham land is a sacred site and has been protected under the Aboriginal Heritage Act since 1984. 
  
In a submission to the City of Swan, 45 elders and traditional owners of the area have called on the Bosnian Islamic Society to build their 1277sq m mosque somewhere else “where it will not offend the religious beliefs of the indigenous people and original owners of the Swan Valley”. 
  
“That section of land is a burial ground, very important to blackfellas. Our people were massacred there,” they say. 
  
The mosque plan is expected to go to the council in the next couple of months.

Prince Charles was accused of hypocrisy last night for using a private jet on an ‘environmental’ tour of South America.

The prince will travel to the region next month in a visit costing an estimated £300,000 as part of his crusade against global warming.

He will use a luxury airliner to transport himself, the Duchess of Cornwall and a 14-strong entourage to Chile, Brazil and Ecuador on a 16,400-mile round trip.

JIHADISTS are celebrating the worst tragedy in Victoria’s history.

Terror watchdogs said fundamentalists had blogged on websites across the globe, applauding the lives lost and destruction in the Victoria fires.

Senior analyst at SITE Intelligence Group Adam Raisman said they were posting pictures of burnt homes and devastated victims and “taking joy in the scenes”, the Sunday Herald Sun reports.

One jihadist wrote: “It would be an act of revenge for Australian’s participation in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.” 

Bushfires victims said they were stunned. 

“We’re minding our own business and trying to cope with all this and they are celebrating our suffering,” said Denise McCann who lost her home in the Kinglake blaze. 

Regional Islamic Council vice-president Dr Ameer Ali said the comments did not represent the wider Muslim community. 

“They have no idea what they are talking about,” he said.

* But terrorist supporter Ameer Ali has a much better idea. He knows very well what they are talking about. That’s why he goes straight into damage control. He believes Australia is a “Muslim nation” already and is doing everything to make it a little more so every day, and that includes lying,  taqiyya, because “War is Deceit”- according to Muhammad. 

* Calls for Forest Fire Jihad have been heard for a long time. There is no reason to believe Muslims wouldn’t act on it…
