A New York hotel is staking its claim to have invented a new hospitality niche – birth tourism. The Marmara Manhattan offers “an exclusive package for new mothers that wish to give birth in the USA”, with the additional bonus of the newborn child gaining US citizenship.
(Ankara) In the strange logic that passes for transparency in the Islamic world, Turkey today revealed how scientists have exhumed pieces of human bones allegedly showing massacre of Muslim Turks by Armenians in the eastern province of Erzurum. They then go on to bang their drum about how 9,553 people were massacred by Armenian gangs and how around 50,000 people in the surrounding provinces were butchered by Armenian gangs.
Anybody else find it strange how while the Turks will literally kill you if you mention the Armenian genocide, they have no problem inventing genocides in which to play the Islamic game of “I am a victim”? Which kind of explains why they have no problem promoting the deaths of 9 jihadists who wanted to die, as a genocide, yet remain very silent on how 94 Muslims were murdered while at the mosque a couple of days before the Allah boat hit a few rocks.

Screaming hate and brandishing vile placards, Muslim extremists and far-Right groups (?) clashed yesterday in ugly scenes that marred a parade by soldiers.
According to the Daily Mail, supporting the troops now makes someone “far-right” and “anti-Muslim”.
Around 40 members of a group called Muslims Against the Crusades (MAC) arrived with inflammatory banners featuring slogans such as ‘Butchers return’ and ‘What are you dying for? £18k’.
They were soon confronted by 100 people, some wearing English Defence League T-shirts, who shouted ‘scum’ and ‘Muslim bombers off our streets’.
The Mohammedan scum shouted ‘murderers’ as troops from the Royal Anglian Regiment paraded through Barking “homo sapiens by birth, subhuman by choice”
Police, who had received intelligence warning of trouble at the march in Barking, Essex, separated the groups behind barriers on opposite sides of the road.
But violence flared after 200 soldiers from 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment – who lost five men in a recent tour of Afghanistan and had been granted freedom of the borough – marched past thousands of well-wishers.
MAC supporters shouted slogans such as ‘murderers, murderers’ and ‘British troops go to hell’, while the mainly white crowd opposite, some of whom are believed to have been BNP supporters, threw frozen pork sausages and chanted ‘scum’ and ‘Allah, Allah, who the f*** is Allah?’
The homecoming ceremony was delayed by an hour after far right protesters hurled frozen sausages at the Muslim group
Charlene Byrne, 24, whose boyfriend Lance Corporal Scott Hardy was killed in an explosion near Musa Qala on March 16, said: ‘They should never have been allowed to hijack this. Not everyone supports what’s happening in Afghanistan – but they shouldn’t take it out on the soldiers.’
Alex Mitchelson, 18, whose brother has completed two tours of Afghanistan, said: ‘He would been disgusted by what happened here today. I had Muslim protesters racially abusing me as I walked by.’
The leader of Barking and Dagenham Council recently wrote to Home Secretary Theresa May asking her to ban MAC because he feared its extremist propaganda could cause violence.
Two men were arrested after police intervened during the violent clashes

Liam Smith acted after MAC posters about the protest, showing a bomber bursting through a flag of St George, appeared on the town’s war memorial. Previous leaflets depicted British soldiers beside a bloody puddle in the shape of a skull.
Mr Smith said: ‘We don’t want these people with their hate-filled agenda in our borough.’
The MAC members – one of whom allegedly spat at a soldier – left after police gave them safe passage to Barking underground station by forming a human wall.
One of the organisers, Abu Abbas, said: ‘The protest is not about the Anglian Regiment but all occupations in Muslim lands. They have gone over and killed civilians. We cannot accept this.’
But Barking and Dagenham Muslim councillor Manzour Hussain said: ‘MAC do not represent the vast majority of law-abiding, peaceful Muslim members of society who respect Britain’s Armed Forces and the work they do.’

The poor quality of analysis behind Australia’s abandonment of traditional assimilationist immigration policy reached its apotheosis recently in a spate of articles by well placed commentators. The proposal of the moment was open borders, immigration unrestricted by consideration of all factors save for security.
Most Australians will reject the proposal as absurd. Unfortunately the analytical basis for policies followed by federal governments since the 1970s has not much differed apart from economic criteria.
Prof. Mirko Bagaric (SMH, 7 April 2010, p. 15[i]), professor of law at Deakin University, argues for unrestricted immigration from the poorest to the richest countries as the best means to reduce Third World poverty. Initially his article came as a pleasant surprise to one who applies biological concepts and methods to the study of human society. Prof. Bagaric opened by stating two truths about human ethnocentrism: “[M]ost still prefer people of their own type and find different cultures jarring”; and “It is in the human DNA.” [ii]
However from that point the article provided almost no hint that humans are an evolved species with an interest in survival. Prof. Bagaric superficially discusses three interests that could be affected by open borders – material prosperity, national security, and cultural tradition – more of which later. This leaves many interests unmentioned.

PARIS — Paris police on Tuesday banned a controversial “pork sausage and wine” street party planned by extremist groups to combat what they saw as the “Islamisation” of a city neighbourhood. AFP
A French government minister of Algerian descent, Fadela Amara, on Tuesday condemned the planned party as “hateful, racist and xenophobic.”

Of course, it was to be held in a “heavily Muslim neighborhood” — a provocation, to be sure. And yet I can’t help but wonder what might have happened if a Muslim group in France had announced that it was going to do something in a non-Muslim area that many non-Muslims found offensive. (That would not be the same thing as holding the halal event in the same area, as described in the article below.) I expect that the same police who banned this party would be protecting the Muslims physically and lecturing the non-Muslims about “tolerance.”

Update: See also Reuters, which reports that after the ban was announced supporters of the event wrote on the Facebook pagethat they would still gather in Goutte d’Or on Friday. “It’s official – Muslims can pray in the street but we don’t have the right to eat pork there. France is now ruled by sharia,” one supporter wrote. THE federal government’s freeze on the processing of Sri Lankan and Afghan asylum seekers has slowed the influx of boat people, evidence suggests, with arrivals down by almost a quartersince the decision was made.

One policeman was killed and three others were injured Monday morning as Palestinians opened fire at a police car near the West Bank settlement of Beit Hagai. The officers were making their way to Hebron from the southern city of Beersheba.
‘Victims of Bibi and Barak’s policy’
South Mount Hebron Council Head Zviki Bar Hai said the attack was prompted by the removal of roadblocks in the West Bank, which he said only increased terror. “The policemen are the victims of Bibi (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) and (Defense Minister Ehud)Â Barak’s calculated prevention policy.”
Yehuda Glick, spokesperson for the nearby community of Otniel, added that “those who opened the Dahariya roadblock only three weeks ago, knowing that the place served as a shelter for terrorists, should not be surprised that the terrorists took advantage of their innocence.”
The Yesha Council said in response that “the security cooperation with the Palestinians, imposed by the political echelon on the IDF in Judea and Samaria in general, and in the Hebron area in particular, cannot provide security. This is costing lives for the police, the IDF and Israel’s residents.”
The last deadly attack on a West Bank road took place in December 2009, when 40-year-old Rabbi Meir Avshalom Hai of Shavei Shomron was shot from a passing vehicle. He was seriously wounded in his head and was proclaimed dead shortly afterwards.
In March 2009, two policemen were killed in a shooting attack in the Jordan Valley. Their killers have yet to be captured.
