AUSTRALIA: A halal butcher who dissected his newborn daughter and buried her body in a neighbour’s yard to conceal an extramarital affair has had yet another appeal thrown out.

Brisbane man Raymond Akhtar Ali was jailed for life in 1999 over the gruesome murder of Chahleen Amy Blackwell just moments after her birth at Ali’s family home at Logan Valley, in the city’s south, on September 8, 1998. The child’s mother and the Ali family’s live-in babysitter, Amanda Blackwell, was also convicted of manslaughter.

Why did Calma join a conference for racists?

David Knoll should have gone in even harder, given Tom Calma’s committment to institutionalising racial divides and to witchhunts:

THE decision of Tom Calma to attend last week’s UN Durban II Conference in his capacity as race discrimination commissioner was controversial in more ways than one. The principal proponents of the conference, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference and various rogue states, including some of the worst abusers of human rights on this planet, had two clear agendas.

Their first agenda was to achieve the UN’s imprimatur for a position that Islam in particular (but not exclusively) be shielded from criticism in the media and other areas of public life… The second agenda was to achieve that same imprimatur for demonisation of the Jewish nation, the state of Israel, with no other nation singled out for criticism…

The proponents of the conference will have noticed inevitably that Australia (along with the US, Israel, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany) publicly chose not to participate in a conference whose clear design, prepared during many months, was to promote a particular form of racism rather than to fight all forms of racism. Having an official as senior as the race discrimination commissioner attend as an observer could be perceived as a signal that Australia might in the future adopt some or all of the Durban II agenda.

Did Australia really oppose the conference or was Australia having a bet both ways? It is a pity that Calma did not follow Australian government policy and have no truck with racism of any hue.

TWO boats carrying almost 80 suspected asylum seekers have been intercepted by Border Protection Command, bringing to 17 the number of vessels detected since August.

Surge continues with two boatloads

The interceptions occurred less than 24 hours after the mysterious discovery by Customs of four suspected asylum seekers on Deliverance Island, 30 nautical miles off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

As more of the injured from the fatal boat explosion of two weeks ago left hospital – for immigration detention – Afghanistan’s ambassador to Australia backed the Rudd Government’s argument that global instability was behind the surge in arrivals.

A re-emergence of Christianity and Western Values in Camden?

CAMDEN will become a breeding ground for terrorists if an Islamic school teaches its agenda of war and violence, a court heard yesterday.

Residents from the town, calling themselves ‘‘ Camdenites’’, pleaded with the Land and Environment Court to take their fears seriously.

‘‘ They will teach war and how to kill,’’ local Judith Bond said. ‘‘ It will be a breeding ground for terrorists.Islam is a national security threat.’’

Ms Bond was one of 18 Camdenites to have their video evidence played to the court yesterday, with another three taking the stand in person.

Ms Bond said they had to uphold Australian values— the school would emphasise values of violence and teach sharia law and terrorism.

Straight talk for the first time:

The churches refer to the supremacist nature of Islam, its desire for world domination, its inability to function with Australian law and that the Quranic Society is incompatible with the Australian way of life and our freedoms.

This is a strong step forward. For the first time, the proposed school is being argued against on the actual issues. The arguments about traffic and environmental concerns were at best a stalling option.

CAMDEN’S Christian leaders have united to condemn the Quranic Society, which wants to build an Islamic school in Camden, for espousing views which are “incompatible with the Australian way of life”.

The leaders of the St John’s Anglican, Camden Presbyterian and Camden Baptist churches and the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary signed a letter to Camden Council arguing that the proposal was not in the public interest.

“Camden is increasingly becoming a multicultural community, but when one part of the community seeks to dominate the public space, as we have seen in Auburn, Bankstown, Lakemba and more recently Liverpool, the social impact is unacceptable,” says the letter, which was read at the Quranic Society’s appeal to the Land and Environment Court yesterday.”Our concern is the Quranic Society inevitably advocates a political ideological position that is incompatible with the Australian way of life. This includes promoting Quranic law as being superior to national laws and regarding followers of any rival religion as inevitably at enmity with it.”

The school proposal has split the Camden community.

The council voted unanimously to reject the original application for a 1200-pupil school “on planning grounds alone” last May.

After reducing its proposal to a school catering for 900 students, the Quranic Society took its case to the Land and Environment Court.

Commissioner Graham Brown, who will decide the school’s fate, visited the site yesterday morning, along with lawyers, council officials and residents. It is on a rural block on the corner of Cawdor and Burragarong roads.

The hearing continued at Camden Civic Centre in the afternoon, attended by about 150 residents.

Australia: (Afghan) Asylum Seekers Set Boat On Fire, Explosion Kills 5, including four Australian Navy Personnel

* AP’s  Tanalee Smith helps out with excuses for the Muslim invaders: “Australia in recent months has seen an uptick in illegal arrivals by sea — most of whom are fleeing violence in Afghanistan and Iraq”

Journalists today are almost united: don’t blame soft-touch Kevin Rudd for luring boat people to their deaths. Phillip Coorey of the Sydney Morning Herald even repeats the Rudd Government’s don’t-blame-us lines as if they are his own:

The number of asylum seekers has surged worldwide since 2007, and the greater number coming to Australia has been part of that trend.

Meanwhile, our “compassionate” PM KRudd has gone into hiding…

Enlightened progressive journo’s not only provide  excuses for the fake refugees and the failing policies of the government, they also offer advice: here’s the Age‘s Michelle Grattan: 

The Government will be under pressure to examine whether its [border protection] policy needs change. It should resist being spooked …

FIVE FEARED DEAD

An explosion, followed by an explosive allegation: 

Five people are feared dead and 51 are injured, including four Australian Navy personnel, after an explosion on an asylum seeker boat near Christmas Island.

West Australian Premier Colin Barnett has accused those on board the vessel of dousing it in petrol but Home Affairs Minister Bob Debus and Royal Australian Navy Rear Admiral Alan Du Toit said it was too early to be clear exactly what happened.

“It is understood that the refugees on the boat spread petrol and that ignited causing the explosion,’’ Mr Barnett told reporters in Perth. 

This is the 13th such vessel to attempt arrival since the Rudd government diluted Australia’s formerly-strong refugee policies seven months ago.

*  Not a word about WHO is arriving illegally on these shores, therefore it is safe to presume that increasing numbers of Muhammedan’s  are determined to leave their Islamic hell-holes behind to seek the benefits of an infidel welfare state. Once again: Muslims from the Middle East who have to travel through  two, three or more Muslim countries to arrive here, are not asylum seekers. They are not immigrants, they are not refugees or cue-jumpers: they are invaders. We have no obligation to assist them.

Those who have sworn to protect us are obliged to repatriate them as soon as possible.

Could there be, like, a connection?:

YET another group of asylum seekers has reached Australian waters – the fourth in a fortnight… Navy patrol boat HMAS Albany intercepted 49 suspected asylum seekers – thought to be mostly Afghan men – two nautical miles off Ashmore Reef, 610km north of Broome at about midday yesterday.

It was the sixth boat to arrive this year, and the 13th since September, when the Rudd Government announced measures aimed at softening Australia’s treatment of refugeesfrom the hardline approach adopted by the Howard government.

This year’s boats have ferried 264 passengers to Australia and 12 crew members – a total of 276 unauthorised arrivals compared with seven boats last year carrying a total of 179 people, including crew.

John Howard’s “inhuman” policies stopped not just the people smugglers but the deaths at sea. If some of these boats lured here by Kevin Rudd now sink, how truly “kinder” is he?
