Mohammed  ElBaradei has a long history of obfuscating and denying Iran’s obvious intentions. Why is it so hard for successive US-administration to give him the shoe?

Why should polygamy be a crime?

We should take this a step further: why should wife beating be a crime? Why bother with prosecuting honor killings, or killing your daughter for apostasy? Why should the rape of uncovered women be a crime? Hey, why do we even bother to prosecute Islamic terrorists who only follow the Koranic commandment to strike terror in the hearts of the unbelievers? Should be prosecute people for  cutting the clitoris out of their daughters? Why don’t we have public floggings for drinking beer and fun for the whole family, like stoning adulterous women for Friday afternoon entertainment?

There are still a few things missing, but you get the drift. Welfare recipient Keysar Trad, “out of context” spokesman for catmeat sheik Taj din al Hilali who calls Australians the “criminal dregs of white society” wants to take us a step further towards that Islamic paradise that worked so well in so many other countries that have been conquered and are now impoverished by Islam. IN JUNE last year, Triple J’s current affairs program Hack ran an item on plural relationships. The ABC’s youth broadcaster interviewed me about polygyny, a form of polygamous marriage in which a man has more than one wife at the same time. A bisexual couple were also interviewed.

berlin-spencerToday I spoke in Berlin at a rally against antisemitism and Islamization, sponsored by Bürgerbewegung Pax Europa (BPE), the most important German human rights organization, seeking to preserve European values, freedom and democracy. BPE is not tied to any political party, but has members that belong to all the German democratic parties. As an NGO, BPE also participates in conferences of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

Other speakers included Renè Stadtkewitz, a member of the Berlin Parliament for the Christian Democrats (Angela Merkel’s party); and a former member of the Green Party who left his longtime political associates after trying to awaken his fellow Leftists to the perils of Islamic supremacism, to no avail.

Leftists and their jihadist allies marched by twice in a counterdemonstration, shouting “Nazis raus” — Nazis, get out. The people assembled for the BPE rally shouted the same thing right back at them.

Censorship in America. Reasonable, rational men are silenced and fascists are exalted.

Horowitz, reached by phone on Friday, called the university’s decision “outrageous.” He said his speech is about what he sees as a campaign against Jews and the state of Israel on many college campuses.

I mentioned earlier this week that the International Civil Liberties Alliance sent a delegation to the OSCE in Warsaw.

As might be expected, some of the other participants at the meeting became upset that criticisms of radical Islam and the Islamization of Europe were part of the presentations by ICLA and its sister organization Pax Europa. Also not surprisingly, the complaints aimed at Pax Europa accused it of racism, racism, racism!

More than 100 “religious” leaders appeared at a “interfaith” conference in Geneva this week to promote “religious dialogue”. Conference attendees included such American Muslim notables as CAIR national board chairman Larry Shaw and Georgetown professor John Esposito.

What is troubling, however, is that the sponsor of the conference, the Saudi regime-backed Muslim World League (MWL) was the subject of a report issued two weeks ago by the Anti-Defamation League that noted the the monthly journal published by MWL recently featured a cover story about the Jewish control of the media. As the report states:

The May 2009 issue of The Muslim World League Journal, which is distributed worldwide, features a shocking cover story propagating conspiracy theories about Jewish control of media. The phrase ‘Control of World Media’ appears on the cover next to a large blue and white baseball cap – adorned with the Star of David – sitting atop a globe.

2 Iranian dissidents say they were raped in captivity

ISTANBUL, Turkey (CNN) –– Two Iranians who were caught up in the waves of arrests that followed the disputed presidential elections in June have accused their captors of raping them.

art.sharifi.cnnBy telling his story, Ibrahim Sharifi says, he “committed social suicide so this incident wouldn’t happen to others.

An Iranian man and a woman made the allegations in separate interviews with CNN. Both said they fled to Turkey from Iran after claiming to have been threatened by Iranian security services. While CNN does not normally use the names of alleged rape victims, their names are included here with their permission.

CNN could not independently confirm their accounts. But the testimony of one of the alleged rape victims, Ibrahim Sharifi, was revealed last month by a prominent Iranian opposition leader who claimed to have gathered at least four accounts of sexual assault this summer in Iranian prisons. Sharifi’s allegations were also included in a report published last week by two Western human rights organizations investigating reports of abuse in Iranian prisons.

…the shooting took place after a combined team of Afghan and U.S. forces had returned from a joint operation late on Friday.  “The Americans were in the middle of sleep when an Afghan soldier on duty opened fire on them,” Shahed said.

Miles Amoore at Combat Outpost Monti, Kunar/Times

Specialist Alexander Miller had been watching a mysterious Afghan standing in a cornfield for 20 minutes. But it took only a split second for the American soldier to be mortally wounded.

As Miller turned his back momentarily, the Afghan picked up a weapon hidden at his feet and fired a burst. One of the rounds tore into the 21- year-old soldier’s groin. Troops rushed to apply pressure to the wound as they called in a helicopter, but he was dead on arrival at the nearest field hospital.
