According to Islamic law, a hudna can only be agreed to in order to allow the Muslim forces to gather strength. This Islamic concept is based the Treaty of Hudaybiyya, the ten-year truce (Hudna) Muhammad signed with the pagan Quraysh tribe. By breaking this treaty, Muhammad again set a precedent: Muslims can sign a treaty but can break it at anytime, when doing so is to their advantage. The purpose of Hudna is to allow weakened Muslim forces to gather strength to fight again later more effectively. This is an extremely important principle for the West to understand today, since it shows the difference between what we perceive as a cease-fire and what believing Muslims think it is.

 A leader of a radical Muslim group which Tony BLiar promised to ban four years ago has called on followers to support “jihad” against Israel at a rally in London.

* Ah yes; Tony BLiar! Wasn’t he the guy who said he would deport 500 Muslim clerics and did none of it?  Isn’t he the guy who reads the Koran every day and thinks we’re all stoopid?

….The campaign to Islamize Palestine and Kosovo, which has been undertaken by Muslim interests, supported by a West that is steeped in ambivalent approaches and ambiguous formulae, has come to its crucial defining stage. Will the West rethink its position, reconsider who are its friends and foes, align with the former (Serbia and Israel) and stand firmly against the latter, and turn to construct a solid wall of the Western civilized world against the new wave of barbarians who are determined to vanquish it and reduce it to dhimmitude? Palestine and Kosovo must be seen in the context of the third invasion of Islam into Europe. The first invasion in the 8th Century had taken Europe by assault from the southwest, colonized the Iberian Peninsula and attempted to take over Gallic France, until the Muslim forces were defeated and their advance arrested by Charles Martel in 732. The Spanish reconquista, which took centuries to reclaim that land, was not completed before the 15th Century, at the very same time that the second invasion of the Ottomans, this time from the southeast, attacked the Balkans and made headway to the gates of Vienna. But that invasion too was finally repulsed with the breaking of the siege of Vienna in 1683, and subsequently by the fall of the Ottomans after World War I.

Hence today, the retrieval of the lands once Islamic (Andalusia, Palestine, the Balkans and Kashmir) becomes an urgent, pressing matter of the highest priority from the Islamic point of view. Therefore attention is centered on the easier targets of Palestine and the Balkans, with Andalusia, Sicily and Kashmir in the second stage. For the rest of Europe a new tactic of soft invasion, by immigration and demographic explosion, has already yielded impressive results: within one generation, 30 million Muslims have taken a foothold in Europe. The active help they receive from the West in the Balkans is an Allah-sent bonus that they had never dreamt of. The declaration of Kosovo’s “independence” in early 2008, which was recognized by the US and some of the Europeans, has been the most dramatic manifestation of this Western capitulation in the face of Islamic aggression in the heart of Europe.

Israel Goes After Islamic Jihad In Gaza

A day after Islamic Jihad fired rockets into Israel, Israel struck back, launching an airstrike against Islamic Jihad leaders and against the smuggling tunnels.

Palestinian sources reported on Wednesday evening that two Palestinians were killed and at least four others were wounded in an IDF strike in northern Gaza.

The IDF confirmed the attack was a joint operation with the Shin Bet to target senior Islamic Jihad operative Khaled Khareb Khaled Sha’alan – who the army said was involved in the firing of rockets towards Israel, including the attacks against Ashkelon in recent days.

According to the Palestinians, Israeli aircraft fired at least one missile towards a vehicle near a mosque in the town of Beit Lahiya. The two killed apparently belonged to the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad.

The Jerusalem Post reports that the IDF got its man. Israel has shown itself to have excellent intel on those involved in the rocket war against Israel, but political considerations have limited Israel’s ability to strike at those terrorists responsible. 

It is the political failure that undermines Israel’s deterrence capabilities.

Released Gitmo inmates up the jihadi rhetoric

Strangely, the New York Times has failed to report the whole story three times.

The proof of that assertion is: Robert F. Worth wrote of Susan Elbaneh’s fugitive cousin last March; he mentioned her death, name, and hometown last September while reporting on the bombing of our embassy in Yemen yet made no mention of Jaber Elbaneh; and their names and the latter’s connection to the Lackawanna Six were missing from his reports last week about two former Guantanamo detainees reuniting with al Qaeda in Yemen and their being suspected in that same attack upon our embassy.

American girl Susan Elbaneh was murdered by al Qaeda and reporters from in and near her hometown actually began doing their jobs back as far as September 18, 2008:

A Lackawanna High School student who traveled to Yemen to be married last month was one of the victims of a terrorist bombing Wednesday at the U. S. Embassy in Yemen, the woman’s school principal said. Attackers armed with automatic weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and at least one suicide car bomb assaulted the compound in the Yemeni capital of Sana. Officials listed the 16 people killed as six assailants, six guards and four civilians. Susan Elbaneh, 18, was killed, along with her Yemeni husband, as they stood outside the embassy, family members said Wednesday.

They were apparently there to do paperwork for the husband’s move to the U. S. when the attackers struck, said Elbaneh’s brother, Ahmed.
