Germany:  Token Muslim Minister (Turkish agent) Calls for Blasphemy Laws, Threatens Media To Use “Culturally Sensitive Language”

That’s right after she tried to get crucifixes banned from German classrooms. She’s pushing it; because she can:

Aygul Ozkan, minister of integration in Lower Saxony state, had asked media to sign a charter to abstain from “racist” reporting. (Islam is not a race. But striking terror in the hearts of all Islam-critics is official policy of the OIC and the UN, and this Islamo agit-prop is doing their bidding….)

The draft proposed that signatories ‘use culturally sensitive language,’ educate readers to think ‘interculturally’ and devote news attention to ‘the challenges of integration.’ She suggested leading editors meet in August to publicly sign the charter.

As the outcry grew, Ozkan appealed for calm, saying the text was ‘just a first possible draft as a basis for discussion.’ (Monsters & Critics)

When Aygül Özkan was appointed by former Prime Minister Christian Wulff to become the first Muslim minister in Germany, there was doubt whether the contradiction between Islamic teachings and our Basic Law could always be regulated in the secular sense. For the first time in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany this minister would like to shake down the freedom of the press granted in the Basic Law. Media are to commit themselves officially to only report to certain topics in a sense specified first and with arranged language. Guess  which topics this could be….?

UN Calls Censorship a “Human Right”

The United Nations believes that the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has a “human right” to impose censorship on the media to “promote (Muslim) religious tolerance.” UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will even hand over funds for the OIC to ensure that strict censorship on the media will be enforced when reporters shed a negative light on radical Islamic militants that include, Osama bin-Laden, al-Qaeda, the Taliban, al-Shabaab (Somalia) and Abu Shayaff (the Philippines).

According to Fox News, “concerns about censorship were raised after the 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which has tremendous sway in the United Nations, successfully pushed through a resolution that creates a watchdog to monitor how religion is portrayed in the media.”

The OIC claims it will enforce religious tolerance by ensuring that the (Muslim) religion is not mocked. An incident occurred when Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed instigated Islamic riots. Yet, the United States and the European Union members on the council voted against the resolution, worrying that it will censor the press and assault freedom of expression.

As reported by Fox, “the resolution now opens the way for the Human Rights Council to select a special investigation on religious freedom to “work closely with mass media organizations to ensure that they create and promote an atmosphere of respect and tolerance for religious and cultural diversity.”

The UN loves to use irony whe implementing new policies. Mr. Ban appointed a so-called “Human Rights Council,” to be the media watchdog to impose censorship. Meanwhile, the UN hires and appoints investigators to seek and punish whistle-blowers and aid in cover-ups of corruption by initiating “sham” investigation inquiries. The UN also hosts “Transparency Summits,” even though Mr. Ban is notorious for hiding internal UN documents from public scrutiny.

What is a free country? Is it a country that is free of being ruled by any other country, or is it a country of free people who are not afraid. The truth is that no country can be free, unless its people are free. Not freedom as embodied in legal documents or stirring anthems, which nearly every country has, but free in their minds. Unafraid to believe, to speak and to live.

Tyranny isn’t a man holding a gun to your head and telling you what to do. Tyranny is when you do what you’re told, because you’re holding the gun to your own head. And then you have become a collaborator in your own oppression. It is possible to be enslaved without ever becoming a slave. And it is sadly possible for people to act like slaves without any chains being anywhere in sight.

The Aboriginal people in this country, in general, are treated like royalty. They get more money each year form the government than alot of working people. There are exceptions, though, I’ll admit- there are always exceptions. Let me explain- On Wednesdays, the Aboriginal people come into town from their little communities to collect their child payments. On Thursdays they collect their dole payments. On Fridays they spend every cent on booze. The weekend is filled with violence, rape and utter chaos. There are murders here every month, children are raped repeatedly every week. Women are bashed, people are stabbed, houses are robbed. It’s like a war-zone.

Could it be that there’s a bit of truth in it? Or is it all “our fault” and we rather pay for it instead of taking a closer look?

A top media rights watchdog has listed Australia along with Iran and North Korea in a report on countries that pose a threat of internet censorship.

Paris-based media rights group Reporters Without Borders on Thursday put Australia and South Korea on its list of countries “under surveillance” in its “Internet Enemies” report.

But its not all bad news:

Big move by Google: GOOGLE Inc. executives are “99.9 percent” sure they will pull the plug on their Chinese search engine after talks with Chinese officials over censorship concerns have broken down. More here>>

The ‘dirty’ excuses:

Australia was listed for the government’s plan to block access to websites featuring material such as rape, drug use, bestiality and child sex abuse.

Critics say the plan is a misguided measure that will harm civil liberties by blocking a broader range of content than just nasty material.

Communications Minister Stephen Conroy has said he plans to introduce legislation by the end of next week that would require ISPs to block a blacklist of “refused classification” websites for all Australians.

Obama names special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the chief enemy of free speech in the world today

DOHA, Feb 13 (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama said on Saturday he was naming a special envoy to a top Islamic body to further Washington’s cooperation with the Muslim world.Obama told a U.S.-Islamic World Forum in the Qatari capital Doha in a recorded video message that he was naming White House official Rashad Hussain as special envoy to the 56-member Organisation of the Islamic Conference.

“As an accomplished lawyer and a close and trusted member of my White House staff, Rashad has played a key role in developing the partnerships I called for in Cairo,” Obama said….

“Since then, my administration has made a sustained effort to listen. We’ve held thousands of events and town halls …in the United States and around the world … And I look forward to continuing the dialogue during my visit to Indonesia next month,” Obama said.

Obama told Muslims in his June 4 speech in Cairo that violent extremists had exploited tensions between Muslims and the West and that Islam was not part of the problem.

His speech was welcomed by many Muslims, though some said they wanted him to spell out specific actions to resolve long-running problems like the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“And as a hafiz of the Koran, (Hussain) is a respected member of the American Muslim community, and I thank him for carrying forward this important work,” Obama said in his message to the Doha meeting, using the term for someone who has mastered and memorised the Muslim holy book….

How do you say “free speech” in Dutch? Apparently, you don’t.

Dutch MP Geert Wilders appeared yesterday in an Amsterdam court to face criminal charges for, essentially, criticizing Islam.

The hate-speech charges stem largely from Wilders’ film warning of the Islamization of Europe, which connected verses from the Koran with scenes of Islamist terror.

If convicted, he faces up to two years in jail.

Actually, he might consider such a sentence a lucky break: In 2004, Islamist assassin Mohammed Bouyeri gunned down Theo Van Gogh, one of the last Dutchmen to make a movie critical of radical Islam.

After the shooting, Bouyeri used a knife to affix a five-page note threatening Jews — and the West in general — to Van Gogh’s dead body.

Add to that, say, the attempts on the life of Danish “Muhammad cartoonist” Kurt Westergaard and the creeping reach of Sharia law in Britain, and you have ample grounds for a hard look at the impact on Europe’s political and cultural fabric of a growing and assertive Muslim population.

Yet the courts appear set on aiding the thugs with guns in squelching all debate.

Wilders, to be sure, is hardly a posterboy for free speech and liberal democracy: Some of his proposals for dealing with the issue — including banning the Koran — are as offensive as the show trial he now faces.

But last time we checked, confident, free societies don’t lock people up for simply expressing their views.

Holland is rapidly becoming anything but.

The “Racist” Ruse:

The effort to tar Geert Wilders as a racist goes against what he has been saying. The court case is strangely trying to say – that if you criticize the Koran and Islam – then you are racist. Wilders’ own statements don’t back racism – so the court case is based around the theory that Wilders is a racist because of his criticism of Islam – but what is really happening is that racism is being used to silence criticism of Islam and to quash or curtail free speech.

It is very similar to the defamation of Islam measure being put forward by Muslim nations in the UN – which seeks an outright international ban on questioning or challenging Islam in any way. But since Islam is not a person – and human rights protects people and not ideas – such as is Islam – developed nations are against the measure. Ultimately what they hope to achieve is special protection for Islam and Muslims – that is the cornerstone of Shari’a law – which upholds the supremacy of Islam and Muslims. This is contrary to what we understand as free.

Persecution of non-Muslims getting worse around the world as media stays silent

Thank God for blogs and websites that are really the only outlet for this type of information.  As you know we cover this stuff every single day.  It’s getting worse and worse, but US and international media don’t cover it that much because there’s really no story to tell when you might offend a large religion.

In response to all this, Western journalists, academics, diplomats, and politicians mainly avert their eyes and hold their tongues. They pretend there are no stories to be written, no social pathologies to be documented, no actions to be taken. They focus instead on Switzerland’s vote against minarets and anything Israel might be doing to prevent terrorists from claiming additional victims.

Here is a particularly audacious exercise in deception from Sheikh Ahmed Hassoun, the Mufti of Syria. I say deception because his assertions are so flagrantly at variance with the Qur’an and Sunnah that he simply must know that what he is saying is false. And while it is remotely possible that he is attempting to work a loophole by saying that Muhammad never said these things while knowing that the Qur’an does say them, on the pretext that Allah, not Muhammad, wrote the Qur’an, there is enough in the Hadith to show that Muhammad said the same things as well.
