Turkey to open office in Brussels to “educate Europe about Islam!”

And to work to dispel “Islamophobia” — you know, the linking of Islam with terrorism. Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate did not, unfortunately, announce any plans to open offices in Riyadh, Tehran, Gaza, Kabul, Baghdad, Swat Valley, Kashmir, southern Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nigeria, or anywhere else, to educate the Muslims there about Islam, and prevent them from linking Islam with terrorism.

Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate next month will open an office in Brussels to educate Europe about Islam, in line with a decision made during Pope Benedict XVI’s 2005 visit to Turkey. During the visit, it was decided that Turkey’s presence in Europe proves the possibility of Islam and Christianity’s peaceful coexistence. It was also concluded that Turkey, with its secular state and Muslim identity, could be a good reference for Muslims living in Europe.

What about the Christians who are actually in Turkey? Do they get to coexist peacefully also?Apparently not.

In order to block efforts to sow misunderstandings about Islam and stir up Islamophobia in the continent, the directorate decided to open a bureau in the European capital. This decision was also supported by the pope. (Pope Benedict’s colossal error)

Pakistan, a failed state because of Islam

 The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is founded on Islam and nothing but Islam. Pakistan is, and always was, an economic basket case and highly dependent on tribute in the form of ‘aid’ from Western nations, all of it wasted in a swamp of corruption.  No matter how many billions the Obama administration throws at this nuclear third world nation, nothing will   prevent it from falling deeper and deeper into the abyss. 

 From Wiki:  Pakistan was a part of British India during the British Raj from 1858 to 1947 until the Indian independence movement led by Mahatma Gandhi. When the Pakistan Movement for a state for Muslims, led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League resulted in the independence and creation of the state of Pakistan, that comprised the provinces of Sindh,North-West Frontier Province, West Punjab, Balochistan and East Bengal. With the adoption of its constitution in 1956, Pakistan became an Islamic republic. In 1971, a civil war in East Pakistan resulted in intervention from India and the subsequent independence of Bangladesh. Pakistan’s history has been characterized by  military rule and political instability.

Pakistan, like Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Mauritania, Yemen etc, are “failed states” — which all happen to be Muslim states — have to be propped up, and propped up, and propped up, it seems, by money from non-Muslims, to prevent what? To prevent them from harming themselves? To prevent them from waging war (jihad) against us, which is their religious obligation?

A counter-terrorism expert researching extremism at U.S. mosques claims authorities in Nashville, Tenn., ignored his report of child abuse by teachers at a local mosque due to fear of retribution from Muslim organizations such at the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Dave Gaubatz, a former Air Force special agent, told WND he informed the local prosecutor, the FBI and Sgt. Brooks Harris of the Metropolitan Police Department in Nashville of a 7-year-old girl who says teachers at the Al-Farooq mosque “hit the children” during Shariah, or Islamic law, lessons.

Harris insists he was not initially given enough information to pursue the case and denies he said anything about fearing legal action from the Council on American-Islamic Relations – CAIR – or any other Islamic groups.

Gaubatz stands by his claims and insists he gave Harris all of the necessary information to pursue the allegation in March. Gaubatz posted audio of the child on his blog in which she allegedly mentions her “husband” and says her legs hurt from the beatings. Gaubatz said other mosque attendees confirmed that some worshippers practiced polygamy.

The mosque reportedly is frequented by many Somalis, and Islamic websites say services are offered in Somali.

The BBC’s appointment of a Muslim as head of religion and ethics is insulting to Christians, an Ulster Unionist assembly member has said.

Retired Presbyterian minister Dr Robert Coulter said the appointment of Aaqil Ahmed was “a juvenile gimmick”.

“According to the Church of England 70% of the UK are Christian, 3% are Muslim yet the BBC for its head of religious broadcast appoints a Muslim,” he said.

Religious commentator Clifford Longley said the complaints were “spurious”.

“It seems to me that no denomination or faith can claim to own a position like that, which must be filled on its merits.”

“The purpose of the BBC’s religious broadcasting department is not to propagandise on behalf of any particular religion – the implication of this complaint is that it is,” he said.

CAIRO, Egypt, May 12 (Compass Direct News) – In the dilapidated office here of three lawyers representing one of Egypt’s “most wanted” Christian converts, the mood was hopeful in spite of a barrage of death threats against them and their client. At a court hearing on May 2, a judge agreed to a request by the convert from Islam to join the two cases he has opened to change his ID card to reflect his new faith. The court set June 13 as the date to rule on Maher Ahmad El-Mo’otahssem Bellah El-Gohary’s case, and lawyer Nabil Ghobreyal said he was hopeful that progress thus far will lead to a favorable ruling. At the same time, El-Gohary’s lawyers termed potentially “catastrophic” for Egyptian human rights a report sent to the judge by the State Council, a consultative body of Egypt’s Administrative Court. Expressing outrage at El-Gohary’s “audacity” to request a change in the religious designation on his ID, the report claims the case is a threat to societal order and violates sharia (Islamic law). “This [report] is bombarding freedom of religion in Egypt,” said lawyer Said Faiz. “They are insisting that the path to Islam is a one-way street. The entire report is based on sharia.”

Is The Call For Jihad From American Mosques Protected Free Speech?

  • Sure. It must be. Jihad is peaceful ‘inner struggle’, don’t-cha know? What could go wrong?

The trial and convictions reported in the story below raise a question that America is going to have to grapple with in the next few years:  At what point does the constitutional protection of free speech no longer apply to those who speak about carrying out violent jihad?

For instance, is an imam’s call to jihad, echoing throughout an American mosque, constitutionally protected speech?

Lawyers who we have talked to say the question comes down to an assessment of whether or not the call to jihad is incitement to violence that amounts to an “imminent threat.”  Yelling “fire” in a crowded theater is an example of speech that creates an imminent threat of injury to the moviegoers, and is thus not protected speech.

At what point does calling for jihad become the equivalent of yelling “fire” in a crowded theater?  We in America deeply cherish the right to free speech, but are we at risk of enabling the seeds of our own destruction by erring too far in the protection of speech that calls for jihad against us?

ISTANBUL (A.A) – 12.05.2009 – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Islamophobia was a humanity crime.

“Every policy, which is based on this humanity crime or carries traces of this understanding, is wrong and will be destructive,” added Erdogan who spoke at the inauguration of the 7th Eurasia Islamic Council meeting in Istanbul.

  • “Destructive”  is anything that doesn’t help to spread Islam in this context.
